Master’s students of Nursing won top places at the 18th National Student Scientific Conference in Pardubice, successfully representing their workplace under the guidance of Dr. Ševčovičová in competition with other non-medical healthcare disciplines.
Second-year students of the Master’s programme in Nursing achieved outstanding success. At the 18th National Student Scientific Conference of Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Non-Medical Healthcare Programmes, held on 15 April 2026 in Pardubice, they won top places under the guidance of their lecturer Dr. Ševčovičová. Bc. Adriana Mydlárová took 2nd place in the poster section with her work Nurses’ Experiences with a Toxic Person in the Work Team – A Case Study. Her classmate Bc. Norbert Alexander Haseki, dipl. s. won first place in the Master’s student category for his presentation Attrition of Nursing Graduates in Slovakia.
At the opening of the conference, the head of the workplace, doc. Hrindová, presented a successful project on education for people with a stoma carried out by our students. She highlighted the initiative and dedication of our students, who founded the civic association Kronika stomika (Ostomate’s Chronicle).
The event also included the 9th International Scientific Conference Quality and Its Perspectives – MEKON 2026. The students eagerly attended a number of lectures, several of which covered topics included in their state examinations. They responded very positively to the keynote lecture by Prof. Qing Li, MD, PhD, of Nippon Medical School in Tokyo, one of the world’s leading experts in forest medicine, with more than 20 years of experience researching the positive effects of time spent in nature on human health and disease prevention.
We thank the students for their exemplary representation of our workplace and wish them every success in their future creative work.
