Why Study Emergency Medical Care?

A paramedic is a highly demanded and publicly respected profession, as paramedics are often the first people to arrive when called to serious and frequently life-threatening situations. They are expected to provide appropriate intervention, including resuscitation and other intensive life-saving procedures, to protect and restore human life and health.

It is a beautiful, but also challenging field of study and profession.

Career Opportunities for Graduates

The goal of the Emergency Medical Care study programme is to prepare graduates to perform independent professional activities and provide urgent healthcare services, in accordance with current legislation.

Graduates are authorized, based on their own assessment and decision-making, in line with diagnosis and instructions from a physician or other qualified specialist, to ensure specific urgent care for individuals, families, or groups of patients within the scope of their professional competence, and in accordance with §3 of the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 321/2005 Coll. on the scope of practice in selected healthcare professions.

Educational objectives are achieved through measurable learning outcomes in individual subjects and are transformed into the student’s competencies upon completion of the programme.
